Back in 2007, Trustpower Phone & Internet (then known as Kinect), began providing phone services to residential customers. The same year, we began offering services over ADSL to residential and business customers.
In 2010, we successfully implemented an ISP network and began providing internet services directly to our customers. As is the case today, our service was supported by Trustpower’s strong wholesale relationships with network companies.
In 2011, the Government committed $1.35 billion to build an Ultra Fast Broadband (UFB) network throughout New Zealand. We soon started planning to offer UFB to customers and connected our first ultra fast broadband customer in August 2012. Today, we provide over 500 customers with phone and internet services over UFB. Internet speeds range from 30 megabits to 100 megabits per second.
In 2013 we had 27,500 telecommunications customers. Over 16,000 of them were with us for their broadband service, and the number continues to grow.
As always, we strive to offer our customers quality service. We are also committed to ongoing innovation and excellence across the telecommunications sector. Trustpower is a member of the Telecom Carriers Forum (TCF).

I made the switch from Vodafone (who were very reliable, but just a bit too expensive) to Trustpower as I was reeled in by their $49 first year/$79 second year broadband deal. But please heed my warning: avoid Trustpower at all costs!!! Despite repeated calls to their help centre, it took them about six weeks to activate my ADSL connection - I was always flogged off with the same old "oh, it should be up and running in about three days" excuse. switched to trustpower broadband as the overall package did save some money from prior telco but now find that orcon and another power supply company offer a better deal
one bill for power and broadband etc

Previously I was with Telstra for many years who: 1) never informed me that they now had far better plans available and suitable.
2)Made it very very hard, being totally obstructive to my switching provider, despite no contractual obligation.
Telstra gave me the full run around: "call you back".. -not.
"He's not in today".- "But I was just speaking to him."
Eventually I had phone with Trustpower and telstra hung on to my broadband for another month plus.

Trustpower are superb persons to deal with and for solving technical difficulties.
Telstra never again.
Overpriced. Unhelpful. Obstructive. Officious. Arrogant.
No decent respect for the customer.
I dont like speaking with overseas call centres who dont comprehend the kiwi vernacular.

I have left them because of unfair charges like them making a mistake which I had to cover hence me going to another provider to me they don’t look after customers

this isbthis worst provider I have ever dealing with. So demanding eith their payments, customer service on phone just cannot negotiate or help with my enquiries and the combination deal for broadband and power supposed to be cheap but it's not cheap.
2 years contract is too long and camt wait to switch back to my previous provider
I was just giving it a try but trust power is the last i will ever choose again. not good with everything

Although Im fibre connected during peak hours my internet becoming slow at times.
Service is a little bit average.

TrustPower were very, very slow at getting us hooked up - it took about 3 months from the time we agreed to use their service. Mind you, this could be at least in part because we needed to have Chorus connect us up to UFB. Also, neither Chorus nor Trustpower were good at explaining what options we had, the process they needed to step through, etc.
