I had what they call fiber X which is cable based.
I have fiber installed in my house

Seem to have a fast VDSL connection

Pros:

Fast enough for multiple devices to stream videos.

Cons:

Vodafone support not the greatest. But haven't had to contact much

WIfi speed using the 'rental' router is lousy. Customer service is OK so long as you give yourself 90 mins - otherwise you won't get anything.

Pros:

Nice service support people -when you get to them

Cons:

Crap service facilities
slow router
poor value

Dreadful Customer Service! Called me a lier.

My fibre contract with them was ending so a month out i contacted them to see what they could offer. For a lesser plan they wanted more $$$ then I finally had someone say that they could do same price. I said I needed time to consider they send me a txt with all the details and total cost, told me to just txt the number back when I wanted to go ahead but got no response! Ring them again and the lady i speak to this time tells me no that price is wrong, forward her the txt I receive and she still arguing with me then tells me im a lier and she is going to investigate me and that she would be back in touch by 5pm that day of course she never bothered to contact me back. Then couple of days later a guy rings me tells me best they can do is $40 more per month, told him he was dreaming as they no longer do emails and all my email addresses I had for over 20 years have gone now due to them so how they can charge more for a lesser service is beyond me. I guess they only survive due to being a large company definitley not as a result of their customer service which is appauling, they obviously go to training which states never to call anyone back. I had been with Vodafone for 8 years until today when they told me we are increasing prices without an increase to services provided you can take it or leave it.

Pros:

I had minimal problems with Vodafone from Dec 2010 until May 2017

Cons:

I was forced to reduce the quality of content watched in order minimize buffering. Speeds have been appalling from day 1.

We've been with Vodafone for many years have Broadband plus phone for two properties. But each month billed for varied additional charges which no satisfactory answers are given ( last months account was $10 cheaper than this months but nothings changed ) Their call centre's hopeless plus being off shore doesn't make things any easier. Customer service is not good they informed me months ago they'd place us on a better rate but that hasn't happened either. We've been with this company since it was started by Saturn back in early 90s our home was one of the first in Wellington to sign up !! We've been through all the business changes But Vodafone I'd say has been the worse company to deal with by far !! ...read more

Such an unprofessional unreliable discouteous team. Would never ever recommend Vodafone to anyone even my worst enemy. Charged my partner $600 bill for making 2hours worth of phone calls to Rarotonga when he was on a plan for unlimited free calls to the Pacific Islands and Australia.

Myself along with my partner tahn decided to do the resposible thing and contacted Vodafone and was put through to a women on the service team and advised her of the issue and explained we were paying an $80 per month plan which included free calls to Pacific Islands and Australia, so the bill was just wrongley charged (obviously there was frustration in my partners voice, as $600 does not just fall out of the sky) and this so called "Vodafone professional rep" laughs at my partner and says to him "just pay the bill and you're problem will be solve", and before I could get a hold of his phone she hangs up after saying "Bye" and still laughing.

If I ever found out who this bitch was and if I ever saw her I would smack her in her damn face!!

Vodafone dumped its old email services, causing no end of problems for people having to change email addresses.
Vodafone also never advise of ends of promotions - they just charge more until you complain and have to negotiate a new contract. It would be better to offer new contracts to customers instead of having them complain. But Vodafone seems to rate profit over customer satisfaction.

Pros:

Help staff are polite.

Cons:

Help is slow and not very useful at the basic level.

Major internet and phone problems for months - and to a lesser degree for the previous 2 1/2 years of poor internet and constant phone problems. This year Vodafone "service" turned into an absolute nightmare!
60 and more internet dropouts - in an HOUR- for months??
Numerous phone problems 'Number does not exist" etc etc
Finally - I PHONED Chorus- they were appalled.. Fixed in FIVE MINUTES - thanks Vodafone for your useless "service"
.I requested recompense for months of non service ...Customer :"Care"! Rep is as useless and unprofessional as their online " reps.
DO NOT use this Provider - pretty much any other Provider is better-
You have been warned....
